Meet Katie our Practice Manager. Katie started to work in Emergency Veterinary Medicine in 2017, and transitioned over to regular practices in 2020, and hasn't looked back. Katie has a Mexican Rescue dog named Leonardo, a black cat named Poe, and a white bunny with blue eyes named Mochi. 

Katie and her husband moved to Ontario in 2018 with their 1-year-old daughter, from Jasper. Katie's husband was born in Banff, and they met in Jasper - worked for the same outdoor adventure company, and had a daughter 8 years later. Wanting to move home closer to family, and less expensive housing (LOL).

She is a 3rd generation Cavan/Millbrook local, who likes to read, hike and road bike. Katie is currently attending Trent University, working on her PhD Candidacy for Women's Studies and Archaeology. Katie is also part of our inclusion and diversity planning committee. 

Katie is positive, organized, and funny. Her main goal is to advocate for patients while serving the Kawartha Lakes community, and developing relationships with local SPCA's and rescues.
